How can I get my blood drawn at home?

With Personal Touch Blood Draws, I bring the lab to you. Schedule your appointment at a time that works for you out of your home and office. Blood draws don't have to be complicated! Call or text me at 805-455-8409. 

What do I need in order to get my blood drawn?

All you need in order to get your blood drawn is a lab order and an insurance card. I can call the lab for you to obtain the order if I have your name and date of birth. 

What should I do before I get my blood drawn?

Always stay hydrated and stay warm before you get your blood drawn. Additionally, you'll need t know if you need a fasting draw or a non-fasting draw. If you do need a fasting draw, drink only water prior to the draw.

What if I have difficult veins?

I have over twenty years of experience working with difficult veins. Because of this, I always have butterflies and heat packs with me and have earned a reputation for quick, nearly painless draws.

What should I do after I can get my blood drawn?

I never take too much blood, so you can carry on with your day as planned after your blood draw is complete. Eat protein, leafy greens, and make sure to stay hydrated!

How do I get my blood draw results?

The lab will email your results to the ordering physician. Stat results are generally available within four hoours, and most labs have a 24-hour turnaround time. Send-out labs take about four days, and kit draws take about two weeks.

How far in advance should I schedule an appointment?

For fasting draws, you can schedule an appointment a week in advance. For non-fasting draws, you can schedule a day in advance, as long as your timeframe is flexible. 

How far do you travel for blood draws?

I go from the top of Goleta, California to the bottom of Carpinteria, California for one fee. For anything outside of this radius, I charge an additional travel fee. Contact me for more information!

I accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
